Meet Madhavi (Mod) Rao

Welcome to Intentional Runner Nutrition! Whether you're a running newbie, signing up for your 10th marathon or lacing up for your first ultra, I am so glad you're here. I love working with endurance runners at every stage of their journey to provide education and guidance on fueling for improved performance and overall health. I am super passionate about helping my clients learn how to make nutrition work for them in running and in life.

As a life-long athlete, I've experienced how diet can affect performance in both good and bad ways. It's the key to getting you that PR or finishing your next run feeling strong, and, more importantly, to longevity in your sport and long-term health. 

 

And as a nutritionist and masters (40+) runner, I am well-equipped to guide you through the complexities that come with nutrition and training as you age. I can help you create a personalized plan to focus on food and habits that will get you to the next level in your sport. With a realistic and intentional nutrition plan, you'll be ready to toe the line on race day with the confidence to crush your goals.

1:1 Nutrition Counseling

A personalized approach to fueling for performance that centers on your specific goals. During our one-on-one work together, we'll create a realistic nutrition plan to guide you through your training with confidence and help you cross the finish line feeling strong.

One-time Q&A Consultation

A single session to review nutrition questions or concerns during training. Potential topics could be creating a personalized race day fueling plan, troubleshooting GI issues, calculating  macronutrient needs, carb loading, etc.

Intentional Runner Fueling Course

A self-paced program that will cover topics including but not limited to how and when to change nutrition throughout a training block, pre-, intra-, and post-run fueling needs, long-run fueling, troubleshooting GI distress, food relationship/mindset and hydration needs.
